Location
Precise location is requested only when you choose “Use my location” for Today’s Pañcāṅga. It is used to calculate local astronomical timings. By default it stays on your device in local storage. Analytics must not record precise latitude or longitude.
Analytics
Analytics are disabled unless an explicit provider ID is configured. No fake analytics ID is embedded in this release.
Anonymous visitor count
When enabled, VĀRĀHĪ records an anonymous unique-browser count. A random visitor ID is stored only in your browser and sent as a one-way hash to a separate serverless store. The displayed total represents anonymous unique browser installations, not verified individual people. Names, email addresses, precise location, browsing history and free-text input are not stored for this count.
Local storage
Language, selected year, Pañcāṅga location preferences and welcome-introduction status may be stored locally in your browser or desktop app.
